Our Solution

Leveraging our expertise in mobile medical solutions, USA Mobile Medical reconditioned a PET/CT trailer tailored to UAB Medicine’s needs. This included the installation of a fully equipped hot lab, enabling on-site preparation of radiopharmaceuticals for increased efficiency and streamlined patient care.

At the heart of the project was the Canon Cartesion Prime Digital PET/CT System, an innovative imaging solution that delivers:

• Digital PET Detector Technology – Incorporating silicon photomultipliers (SiPM) and time-of-flight (TOF) capabilities, the system provides exceptional image clarity and diagnostic accuracy.

• Patient-Centered Design – A wide 78 cm bore and flared gantry design enhance patient comfort during scans.

• Compact & Energy-Efficient Build – The system’s air-cooled design reduces infrastructure requirements, making it ideal for mobile deployment.

Outcome

This collaboration successfully expanded UAB Medicine’s ability to offer state-of-the-art PET/CT imaging to a wider patient population. The mobile unit increased accessibility to advanced diagnostics while maintaining the highest standards of image quality and efficiency.
